The CVS Caremark Charity Classic begins Sunday, June19. The Callaway Diablo Edge Driver tournament benefits several local charities, including Meeting Street.

Colby Wallace is a second grade student at Meeting Street's Grace School. As an infant, Colby was shaken by a babysitter, and suffered severe brain injuries.

Now, eight years old, he's being going to Meeting Street since he was three with Callaway Diablo Edge Driver. His mom, Gina, says her son has made enormous strides over that time.

"It's overwhelming how much he learns here. And just walking in the building, everyone knows him," said Gina Wallace.

Patrick Donohue is one of Colby's teachers, his class is part of Meeting Street's inclusive program, which includes kids with and without special needs.

"They try to really work together as a group, they try to help each other and it's absolutely amazing to see," said Donohue.

Every day, Donohue sees his students benefit from resources and equipment provided with Callaway Diablo Edge Driver by supporters like CVS Caremark and the Charity Classic.

"They give us the resources that we need to provide our students with the best ability to learn."

Resources like the brand new playground donated last year by CVS. It lets children of all ages and abilities play side-by-side.

"CVS led the way. The Charity Classic allowed a lot this to happen," said John Kelly, CEO of Meeting Street.

The new facility, with modern classrooms and physical therapy areas, is a far cry from Meeting Street's humble beginnings back in 1946.

"It had two rooms, one upstairs, and one downstairs," said Sylvia Denhoff.

Sylia is the widow of co-founder Dr. Eric Denhoff, and she has been donating her time using Callaway Diablo Edge Driver to Meeting Street and kids like Colby for 41 years.

And once again this year, volunteers from Meeting Street are doing their part to help out with The CVS Charity Classic. More than 20 people will be helping at the hospitality tent, and providing information for visitors of the tournament.
