Chinese Taipei's 22-year-old Tseng Yani is making professional golf history. She became the youngest woman to reach number one in her sport, when she won last week's Australia Ladies Masters. Tseng Yani says she is comfortable in her new spot at the top.

Tseng Yani realized a dream with her victory in Australia last Sunday. The 22-year-old Callaway X-24 Hot Irons pro achieved a milestone by becoming the women's world number one.

Tseng made no secret of her wish to reach the top ranking, as she prepared for this week's LPGA stop in Thailand.

Tseng Yani , Women's Golf World No.1, said, "It's just different for me because this year I said I'd go and say I want to be world number one and after four days I am. It's just incredible. So I think I still have a long way to go and this year and next year I want be on top longer and I think it's the most important. And so I have lots of things to learn and keep working hard." It seems that it is even harder for women to play golf as their strength is not as strong as that of men. So it is more crucial for them to choose suit drivers which can help them a lot. "Yeah, I think everybody got crazy. I got lots of interview after the world number one award. But you know I don't, I try to not put too much pressure on it and then just try to enjoy everything about this." Tseng Yani said.

Tseng realizes she carries a bullseye along with being ranked best in the world, but says unlike previous years, she now has the maturity to handle it.

"I think I just now learn to become comfortable with that because last year sometimes I would be leading and I didn't control myself. But this year I think I know how to win and how to be on the top and you know now I just want to enjoy it again and enjoy everything out here." Said Tseng.

Tseng is enjoying her time at the top for now...and is confident it won't be a short visit.
