To tell the truth, I don't want to start a review out stating how great the Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Driver is, but there's no point holding back. In my humble opinion, it far exceeds other drivers for the needs of better players, and even satisfies the needs of those needing a game improvement driver. The following points may help you know more.
Look and Feel
At a first glance, the driver looks sweet, black sole, black face, black dual crown with a "honeycomb" design. I really love how this club sets up as well, the standard version seemed to set up very closed, but the TP version just sits perfectly square and neutral. The Burner SuperFast 2.0 has the same white matte no glare finish, which is absolutely gorgeous. The head shape is a little larger than the Taylormade R11 Driver, but is still very pleasing to the eye at address. It will give you a ton of confidence. The face on the Burner SuperFast 2.0 is the largest of any TaylorMade driver-4,550 square millimeters. A larger face makes it super easy to hit the ball, especially when you consider the driver measures 46.5'' which can make it challenging for us mortals to make square contact consistently. I also liked how driver felt at impact and the plushness of the Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8 shaft. The Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8, is ultralight and not too soft in the tip. I can only imagine the type of shot the Burner Superfast 2.0 Driver produces.
Design
The driver includes a new mind shape, which will help to leverage the advantages of TaylorMade's proven Dual Crown Technology. As the triangular titanium club head has been manufactured more aerodynamic, the face area from the new Fast, which measures 4,550 square millimeters, is larger than last year's model. The advantage of this can be a lower center of gravity (CG), which creates a greater launch position, lower spin, and overall distance-marketing launch conditions. Also, it includes a non-adjustable weight port within the foot area along with a slightly open face of the club position at address. Additionally, it includes a slightly heavier 45.5″ Matrix Ozik HD6 shaft. TaylorMade Burners Fast 2.0 is 5 yards longer than last year's model.
Performance
The comparison driver, the 8.5 degree TaylorMade R9 Superdeep, gave me a swing speed of approximately 103.5 mph. However, the new 9.5 degree Burner Superfast 2.0 instantly increased my swing speed to 109.8 mph, a huge jump. This increase translated into roughly an additional 18 to 20 yards increased distance on the monitor and at least that amount on the course. Honestly, I'm still in shock about how much lighter the club is than just about all the new and the old drivers that are available. The lighter club, shaft, and new aerodynamic properties of the new driver combine for increased distance.
Summary
The superfast lines are designed particularly to assist gamers obtain the club moving faster through impact. For the Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Driver, the new head shape and inverted Cone face technology give greater speed and more forgiveness, while the white non-glare crown and black clubface makes alignment easier. It has a slightly open face angle, which suits the better player's eye. The club is toe-weighted to promote a neutral-fade bias and has a swing weight of D4, with a 460cc head volume. If you aim at swinging with more distance and confidence, you can consider this driver.
