If you live in Birmingham or York, get ready to hear Europe's 2011 captain and one of Great Britain's greatest woman golfers, Alison Nicholas, share her thoughts with you on this September's up-coming Solheim Cup matches in Ireland.

She will talking at two exclusive Solheim Cup evenings on June 1st and June 2nd at at Edgbaston discount golf club, Birmingham and Fulford Golf Club, in York respectively.

Nicholas will be leading the best European players from the Ladies European Tour (LET) against the best US players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour in the biennial, transatlantic team match-play competition. She will talking at two exclusive Solheim Cup evenings on June 1st and June 2nd at at Edgbaston Ping K15 Irons, Birmingham and Fulford Golf Club, in York respectively.

Nicholas will be leading the best European players from the Ladies European Tour (LET) against the best US players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour in the biennial, transatlantic team match-play competition.

The US Team leads the competition 8-3 and has never lost The Solheim Cup on home soil.

In 2009, the Americans maintained their untarnished home record at Rich Harvest Farms with a 16 to 12 victory against the Europeans.

It's now Europe's turn to win back the trophy in Ireland at Killeen Castle on September 23-25.

Nicholas who has been awarded a MBE for her services to women's golf, is looking forward to her trip to Birmingham and York ahead of the September conterst.

She said: "I really enjoy meeting other golfers and telling stories from on and off the course.

"It will be great to to share my own Solheim Cup Stories as excitement builds towards the Callaway Diablo Octane Tour Driver."

A spokesman for the event organisers, Tourism Ireland, said: "To have Alison at Edgbaston and Fulford Golf Club will be great inspiration for the local golfing community. We can't wait to meet her and support the team in September for the Solheim Cup."

Guests at the evenings will have the chance to win a trip to Ireland and attend the Solheim Cup at the beautiful Killeen Castle.
